Bamboo
Bamboo is a remarkably sustainable natural resource that is good for our planet and the people on it. Our travels and research have led us to select a few varieties of bamboo that are sustainably sourced and of the highest quality. Safari’s bamboo is strong, versatile and durable, making it a great choice for internal and external architectural elements including trellises, roofing, bamboo fencing, molding, bamboo screening, flooring, cabinetry, signage, exhibit work and art installations.
High-Quality Bamboo Materials
Most products can be left in their natural state for a more rustic feel or sanded and polished for a cleaner finish. We also offer artificial bamboo and can split-sand bamboo for mounting on walls and furniture, and select products can be treated and dyed to match your décor.
We also offer Duracane ™ and PVC synthetic bamboo that can be used for a variety of applications, especially in climates that are destructive to natural bamboo. Safari’s highly realistic PVC bamboo is hand painted and even has raised nodes just like natural bamboo. It is non-cracking, submersible, UV and weather resistant, and can be used to sleeve steel, concrete columns or electrical conduit. Duracane ™, a decorative synthetic bamboo commonly used to hide unattractive structural components is available in a variety of custom colors, lengths and diameters.

Duracane Synthetic Bamboo
Safari’s hand-made synthetic bamboo. Standard colors: Green and Natural, custom colors available. Large variety of different diameters.
Guadua Bamboo
One of the largest species of bamboo in the world. Safari has the highest quality Guadua, hand-picked for the highest aesthetic quality. Dead-straight, and very little taper. Truly beautiful bamboo.
Solid Bamboo
Also called Iron Bamboo, this semi solid bamboo species has structural qualities that other similar diameter bamboo species simply cannot match.
Tre Gai Bamboo
This semi-solid species is the bigger brother to Safari’s Solid Bamboo. In its natural unfinished form, its highly irregular surface characteristics perfectly serve the rustic/beach charm that so many of our customers are seeking. For more finished installations, try the sanded and polished version.
Split-Sanded Bamboo
Solid bamboo poles are split and sanded so that they can receive a stain or top coat. Perfect for chair rails, frames, siding, ceiling treatments and much more.
Bamboo Sticks
Purely decorative, thin diameter, thin-walled bamboo sticks – typically used in floral arrangements, or as decorative trim.
