Rustic River-Delta Fence:
River-delta fencing uses Mangle-wood pickets that are harvested from an invasive tree in Vietnam. Originally planted to retain the banks of the Mekong, Mangle-wood is now crowding out indigenous plant species. As a part of the management of this plant, Safari has re-purposed this striking knotty wood picket into fencing of random height intervals, and like our other rustic fences, threads them with 3/8” galvanized steel rods. The poles are spaced approximately 1-2” apart, and then wrapped in Safari’s polyester desert sand rope.
These fences are very strong and difficult to climb. they are typically used as fencing for walkways, barriers for crowd control, load queue dividers, or residential garden fencing. Available in 4’ x 8’, 6’ x 8’, and 8’ x 8’ sizes, these charming fences can also be curved to follow the contours of walkways or pool and pond edges.
Note: To ensure your fence has the longest useful lifespan and avoid accelerated rot, be sure to keep the bottom of the fence slightly raised above the ground level to avoid moisture being ‘wicked’ up into the fence. This is especially true for our River Delta fences.
