River Delta Rushtic Bamboo Fencing

Rustic River-Delta Fence:

River-delta fencing uses Mangle-wood pickets that are harvested from an invasion tree in Vietnam. Originally planted to retain the banks of the Mekong, Mangle-wood is now crowding out indigenous plant species. As a part of the management of this plant, Safari has re-purposed this striking knotty wood picket into fencing of random height intervals, and like our other rustic fences, threads them with 3/8” galvanized steel rods. The poles are spaced approximately 1-2” apart, and then wrapped in Safari’s polyester desert sand rope.

These fences are very strong and difficult to climb. they are typically used as fencing for walkways, barriers for crowd control, load queue dividers, or residential garden fencing. Available in 4’ x 8’, 6’ x 8’, and 8’ x 8’ sizes, these charming fences can also be curved to follow the contours of walkways or pool and pond edges.

  • Appearance:    Random height (+/- up to 12″) Mangle-wood poles are threaded with 3/8″ thick galvanized steel wire running horizontally through the poles. The poles and wire are then wrapped with “desert sand” dyed polyester rope.
  • Grade (Int. vs. Ext.):    Perfect for exterior applications, this product can easily be used indoors as well.
  • Comm. vs. Res:  Great for both commercial as well as residential applications. The aesthetically pleasing random top edge also dissuades patrons/guests from sitting atop the fence.
  • Durability:  Mangle wood is an extremely dense wood, that should provide 12-16+ years of usable life outdoors, depending on climate. Because this plant typically grows in water, it wicks moisture extremely quickly through a thin straw-like core. It is imperative that these fences are not allowed to rest directly in contact with the ground, or life expectancy will be adversely affected.
  • Size:   3 sizes available: 4′ x 8′, 6′ x 8′, and 8′ x8′
  • Materials:   Mangle-wood poles, dyed polyester rope, and galvanized steel rods.

Note: To ensure your fence has the longest useful lifespan and avoid accelerated rot, be sure to keep the bottom of the fence slightly raised above the ground level to avoid moisture being ‘wicked’ up into the fence. This is especially true for our River Delta fences.
